Traffic Control - Pointer 4
by QTM Trainer - Monday, 26 March 2012, 08:10 AM

On hot (sunny) days some traffic controllers stand in the shade of the truck / vehicle while carrying out stop / slow.  This is not a good idea (and is unsafe) as motorists can not always see the traffic controller or stop / slow bat.  Always stand so that both you and the stop / slow bat are clearly visible to motorists.

Always ensure that the stop/slow bat is used with the left hand.  This will mean that you are off the road and it is therefore safer for you.
